The roots of transphobia

The recent anti-trans hysteria is definitely driven by political tactics, as in "find a scapegoat and distract people from real issues."

But there is much more to transphobia than this.

Transphobia is fueled by the fears of the fearful, people who want to protect themselves from the unpredictability of life by retreating into some kind of imaginary "normalcy."
